Eating an entire steak is undisciplined and irresponsible
It’s like buying a sports car for your heart.
Men are obsessed with how much they can consume. The bigger the better. It’s like all of that protein funnels directly to their dick when in actuality there is absolutely zero connection. I get it, I like steak just as much as the next guy but I have come to realize that a small clean cut of tenderloin will do the trick just nicely.
Men have gotten themselves into this pissing match of who can eat the most. Man versus food is about the most irresponsible concept I have ever seen for a show. It does nothing but perpetuate poor habits and unbecoming behavior.
By some accounts the beef and diary industry are responsible for roughly half of all human caused greenhouse emissions. That’s our food and none of it is vital to living. Eating beef and breathing clean air are not on the same plane of importance. There are a lot of factors at play here, one being that our ancestors worked the land and part of living off of it was slaughtering our own cows in the pasture. Those days are fucking long gone. Today it is more of a lack of nutritional awareness and ad campaigns that stand on the shoulders of our male egos. Every time a fast food chain is going under, they double down, and roll out a triple stack burger but cheaper. What?… How is that financially and nutritionally possible? Men need to get out of their heads that their masculinity is tied to what they eat. Yeah BBQ’s are fun, but you don’t need the 30oz porterhouse, no one does and taking it down doesn’t prove anything except that you’re an irresponsible slob.
Americans don’t suffer from starvation, they suffer from obesity. We literally have too much food, so it stands to say that we would benefit by cutting out a large portion of our protein-based diet. Science aside, men should recognize that feeding the ego is actually physically destructive. I'm not advocating veganism or being a vegetarian, but focusing less on consumption has the ancillary benefits needed to sustain a healthy future. It is better for our overall health and for the environment, of which, suffers from malnutrition… get the cycle?
