Constellations of relationships.
Constellations are pattens of individuals that create something relatable within the vastness of space. Constellations create a familiar relationship with the unknown. Similarly we want to explore the relatable aspects of relationships through the vastness of love. What encompasses love? Hate. Empathy. Devotion. Intrigue. Generosity. Jealousy. Spite. Love can be deep and dark and scary so it is necessary to create a constraint and framework that simplifies the exploration.
Through these constellations the night sky is more connected. An archer. A bull. A serpent. That’s what relationships do, whether marriage, friendship, family, they connect us, the individuals like dots in the sky. We label different types of love and categorize relationships because of the ancillary benefit. The trials and tribulations of a marriage offer an opportunity to connect with a family member or a friend, or on the TV screen. What may seem like something rare and shiny is actually common and dull, but it gives us the opportunity to connect. It's hard to stop and appreciate that, especially when juggling two worlds, one of reality and the other virtual. The human condition can be selfish and generationally war-torn but just because it is daytime, does not mean stars do not exist.
