What does a Priest know about making a woman orgasm?
Before getting married, why do we go to a Priest?
"Bring God into the bedroom,” he says. HE says. A man gives relationship advice to a man and a woman, without ever truly being in a relationship. Well, it’s a marriage, not a relationship. Cut the institutional bullshit and think beyond what society tells you. No I’m not married, so what do I know… but neither is a priest. A pastor I concede is married, but at the same time he is living his life by a book written 2,000 years ago and makes his money off of donations. Not exactly something I admire. They are staples of the community. Great. Then I will seek their advice on socio-economic issues plaguing the area, not sex, and not especially equality in sex. When the entire Bible is predicated on the man making money while the woman births a human, what advice do they offer in the form of pleasing a woman before yourself? Religion does a better job of sweeping issues under the rug and putting on a facade than it does forensically investigating them.
Are you a good lover?
That is an important question. How you make love is absolutely in tune with who you are as a person. Don’t get me wrong, we have moods and we may not seem the same, but to indulge is a little cynicism, people do not change.
The institution of marriage was made up by men. The rules are dominated by men. So why would I go to a man for advice in a relationship that should have a foundation of equality? This is not a dig at all of them, but it is the idea of it as a whole that I take issue with. I don’t get it. To seek the validation of a religious figure in order to seek the validation of society in exchange for happiness is a mind-boggling and mind-numbing proposition.
Is sex more spiritualistic or animalistic? I propose couples on the verge of getting married see a sex therapists. Learn something about your most intimate activity. Dive into the facts of what makes us human. The facts, something that has been under attack as of late. It is no coincidence that the part of the population that disregards scientific fact also find truth in faith. Oh the irony. Share something honest and raw about yourself, don’t just be told what you should do. Start there and grow.
You wouldn't get on a plane being piloted by someone who has only read about flying in books, especially because simulation is the work of the devil.
